Lloyd graduated from University of Nevada, before going to Cooley Law School. He was the Unit Chief of the Drug and Arson Units in Jackson County, and then the Unit Chief of the Economic Crimes Unit in Eaton County. In 2013, he was appointed Eaton County Prosecuting Attorney, and still is the current Prosecuting Attorney.
